Machine Embroidery Workshops
Choose from a range of Machine Embroidery & Mixed Media Workshops taught in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere from my studio in Buntingford, Hertfordshire. Whether you would like to make a handmade gift for someone, learn some new techniques, or want to brush-up on your skills, I have a range of classes for you to choose from.
Small class sizes and a relaxed, friendly environment make learning fun and enjoyable, even for the very nervous.

VENUE:
All classes are held at my garden studio in Buntingford, near Hertford/Royston in Hertfordshire. My studio is within easy reach of the A1, M25, M11 and A10.
CLASS OPTIONS
Small Group Classes: for 2-3 people or
One-to-One Tuition: on a flexible basis (charged by the hour).
PRICING
Group Classes: from £80 for a 4 hour workshop for 3 people (incl some materials).
One-to-One Classes: from £40 per hour
If you don’t own your own sewing machine, I now have one machine available for use at my workshops. Please check availaibility when you make your workshop booking.
If you are bringing your own sewing machine you will need have an embroidery/darning foot and be able to cover or lower the feed dogs on your machine.
All class contents can be tailor-made to suit your requirements and if you would like to book a class with a friend, I can organise a date to suit you.

Beginner's Machine Embroidery Workshop
Beginners’ Machine Embroidery
COST: £80
DURATION: 4 hours

Have you thought about trying Free Motion Machine Embroidery but not known where to start? Well, this is the class for you.
During this 4 hour class I will guide you through some basic skills that will get you started in this absorbing technique. At the end of the session you will have a good basic knowledge of the process and something decorative to take home with you. My teaching style is relaxed which enables you to bring along your own ideas to work on or turn up and work on something on the day.
If you are new to Free Motion Embroidery and your sewing machine I would recommend taking this class as a starting point. If you are already familiar with your machine, but just new to the technique you could still benefit from this class or try one of my themed workshops.
WHAT’S INCLUDED: A supply of calico, decorative fabrics and craft materials for use in the workshop. Use of an embroidery hoop. and refreshments.
PLEASE NOTE: You will need to bring your own sewing machine with embroidery/darning foot & be able to lower/cover the feed dogs.
If you don’t have your own sewing machine, I now have one to use at my workshops for a small extra fee of £5 to cover costs. Please enquire about this at time of booking.

Embroidered Christmas Cards Workshop (2/2)
DURATION: 3 hours
COST: £50
NO OF SPACES: 3/3 available
Join me for this three-hour workshop and enjoy making your own collection of Embroidered Christmas Cards using fabrics and threads. There will be a selection of templates to hand to inspire you, or you can use your own designs. Card blanks and a small selection of fabrics and threads will be available for you to use. A lovely way to add a personal touch to your Christmas preparations. Refreshments also provided.
PLEASE NOTE: You will need to bring your own sewing machine with embroidery/darning foot & be able to lower/cover the feed dogs.
If you don’t have your own sewing machine, I now have a machine for you to borrow during the class. Please ask at time of booking to reserve for your use.

In this workshop you will create your own Machine Embroidered Picture using fabric and thread and learn how to mount it for display in an embroidery hoop. Bring your own ideas to work from or use some source material on the day.
