Machine Embroidery Workshops
Choose from a range of Machine Embroidery & Mixed Media Workshops taught in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere from my studio in Buntingford, Hertfordshire. Whether you would like to make a handmade gift for someone, learn some new techniques, or want to brush-up on your skills, I have a range of classes for you to choose from.
Small class sizes and a relaxed, friendly environment make learning fun and enjoyable, even for the very nervous.
CLASS OPTIONS
Small Group Classes: for 2-3 people or
One-to-One Tuition: on a flexible basis (charged by the hour).
PRICING
Group Classes: from £75 for a 4 hour workshop (incl some materials).
One-to-One Classes: from £35 per hour
For all classes you will need to bring your own sewing machine with an embroidery/darning foot
and be able to either cover or lower the feed dogs.
All class contents can be tailor-made to suit your requirements and if you would like to book
a class with a friend, I can organise a date to suit you.

VENUE: All classes are held at my garden studio in Buntingford, near Hertford, Hertfordshire.
My studio is within easy reach of the A1, M25, M11 and A10.

Beginner's Machine Embroidery
Beginners’ Machine Embroidery
COST: £75
DURATION: 4 hours

PLEASE NOTE: You will need to bring your own sewing machine with embroidery/darning foot & be able to lower/cover the feed dogs.
If you've thought about trying Free Motion Machine Embroidery but not known where to start, this is the class for you. During this 4 hour class I will guide you through some basic skills that will get you started in this absorbing technique. At the end of the session you will have a good basic knowledge of the process and something decorative to take home with you. My teaching style is relaxed which enables you to bring along your own ideas to work on or turn up and work on something on the day.
If you are new to Free Motion Embroidery and your sewing machine I would recommend taking this class as a starting point. If you are already familiar with your machine, but just new to the technique you could still benefit from this class or try one of my themed workshops.
WHAT’S INCLUDED: A supply of calico, decorative fabrics and craft materials for use in the workshop. Use of an embroidery hoop. and refreshments.

Hoop Embroidery Pictures - Machine Embroidery
Hoop Embroidery Pictures - Machine Embroidery
COST: £80
DURATION: 4.5 hours

In this workshop you will create your own Machine Embroidered Picture using fabric and thread and learn how to mount it for display in an embroidery hoop. Bring your own ideas to work from or use some source material on the day.
